UPDATE (23 MAY 2008): Champion Debate Camp is no longer accepting applications.
As of close of business today, Friday, May 23rd, Champion Debate Camp is no longer accepting applications. We will accommodate students wishing to be put on a waiting list, but there is very little likelihood that we will be able to accept any campers off of this wait list.

UPDATE (7 MAY 2008): Champion Debate Camp has a new location!
We were recently informed by the administrators of our previous location that they will not be able to accommodate the camp this year. Therefore, Champion Debate Camp will be changing its location from 929 W Broad Street to 6650 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, VA. The new site is only an 8 minute drive from the previous location. The new location has more space, and will more adequately cater to the needs of our program.
**If you have already enrolled in the camp, we sincerely hope this change will not affect your ability to attend. However, if you are not able to attend due to our change in location and have already submitted your payment, we will gladly refund your money.

WHAT IT IS:

DSC01568_edit
The Champion Debate Camp is an opportunity for middle school students to get a head start before joining a high school debate team. It is organized by students on the TJ Debate Team for students interested in learning debate. The camp is geared towards students with little to no experience with debate--so don't be discouraged if you're new to debate. It's a great way for students interested in TJ to show their potential and initiative!

The camp is run by TJ graduates, all former captains of the Thomas Jefferson High School Debate Team. The instructors are all TJ debaters and former debaters, several of whom now debate in college.**

The camp is open to any rising 7th through 9th graders -- not just future TJ students. The camp will be held from
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on June 23rd through 27th, 2008.

HOW TO APPLY:
Click Apply to the right, then email the completed form to championdebate.applications@gmail.com. Sorry, but we cannot accept applications via postal mail.

**Note: The Champion Debate Camp is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Fairfax County Public Schools or any entity thereof.**
