Here at Champion Debate, we understand that choosing a summer camp takes a fair amount of commitment and information. To make sure you have everything you've need, we've built this page to keep any administrative details in one easy-to-find place. |

Who?
Our program is primarily geared towards rising 7th - 9th graders. This does not mean that we will turn down those falling outside of this age range, but we do ask parents to carefully consider applying if this is the case. If the camper is too old, they may feel out of place; too young, and they may not be able to grasp material at the same rate as their peers. However, so long as campers demonstrate maturity and a willingness to work, we're more than happy to consider any application. What?
Champion Debate is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to making debate accessible to middle and rising high school students in the Northern Virginia area. Tuition covers operating expenses, including, but not limited to renting facilities, and material costs. All profits are donated to charity. When?
Our program runs from late June through early July. This is to accomodate both our staff, most of whom are students, and family vacations later in the summer. From day to day, our schedule runs similar to that of a school day: 9:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. See our calendar... Where?
We will be using Colvin Run Elementary School for this year's camp, located at 1400 Trap Road, Vienna, Virginia 22182. How much does this cost?
We do our utmost to ensure that our program is affordable and accessible. The prices listed below can be bent if need is shown; please contact us if that is the case. As listed above, applying early (by April 15) costs $340 for one week, and $640 for both. Applying early also reduces our administrative costs. Later applications (up to June 18) will cost $380 for one week, and $710 for both. |
